Sergio Perez Signs Two-Year Extension with Red Bull

Sergio Perez has been racing for Red Bull for the past three years, and he’s not going anywhere! The Mexican driver will continue his partnership with Red Bull for at least two more years after signing a new deal that will last until the end of the 2026 season. It’s been rumored that Red Bull could switch Perez for Carlos Sainz, who became available after Lewis Hamilton announced his move to Ferrari in 2025. Red Bull eventually decided to stick with the formula that works, keeping Perez on board as Max Verstappen’s partner. Perez is looking forward to continuing his partnership with Red Bull, and he’s certain they’ll achieve many more amazing things together. "I am delighted to be staying here to continue our journey together. Being part of the team is an immense challenge and one I love. We have a great challenge this year, and I have full trust in the whole team that the future is bright here, and I am excited to be part of it," said Perez in a statement. This season has been pretty rocky for Perez, who failed to take the podium in his last three races, but Red Bull team principal Christian Horner is confident he’ll soon return to form. He said they decided to extend his deal because continuity and stability are important for the team as they work towards winning another World Championship title.
