Ronaldo Says His Manchester United Comeback is No Vacation

Cristiano Ronaldo was the subject of one of the biggest transfers of the year when he rejoined Manchester United the past month. Twelve years after his last game with the Red Devils, he’s 100% ready for his comeback, and he definitely won’t be taking things easy. In an interview shared on United’s official website, Ronaldo finally spoke about his return to Old Trafford and said he’s not here for a trip down memory lane, but for another successful run with his old team. “I am not here for vacation… I am here to win again. I am capable, me and my team-mates. I am ready to go, I am ready to go. It is a good chance for me, for the supporters, for the club, to get one step ahead. I am ready and I think I will be a huge thing in the next three or four years,” explained the Portuguese football icon. Ronaldo previously played for the Red Devils between 2003 and 2009 and scored 118 goals in 292 games during this time. He later spent almost a decade with Real Madrid and had a three-year stint with Juventus before pledging his loyalties to United again. Ronaldo will make his comeback during Saturday’s Premier League match between Manchester United and Newcastle United, and he’ll be rocking the iconic number seven jersey.
