Real Madrid Beat Borussia Dortmund to Win 15th Champions League Title

Real Madrid are the absolute kings of the Champions League, and they continued their domination in this year’s final. They cruised past Borussia Dortmund at Wembley Stadium on Saturday to be crowned Champions League winners for a record 15th time. Despite coming into the match as clear favorites, Real Madrid struggled to break Dortmund’s defense in the first half. Dortmund frustrated Madrid with their approach but eventually squandered several chances to score, handing Real another victory after failing to capitalize on opportunities. Dani Carvajal’s header broke the deadlock and gave Madrid a long-awaited lead in the second half. Vinicius Junior sealed the deal nine minutes later, leading Real to the well-deserved 2-0 win. Carvajal was named the man of the match after becoming the first defender to score in the Champions League final since 2016. This marks the 15th Champions League victory for Real Madrid and their fifth under the guidance of coach Carlo Ancelotti, but that doesn’t mean they’re not hungry for more. "Here there's no danger of our stomachs being too full... tomorrow this club will enjoy another fantastic day with our fans, then to rest, the players will go to the Euros, the Copa America, then we will return with the same desire and hope as ever," said Ancelotti.
