Mohamed Salah Helps Liverpool End Man City’s Unbeaten Run

The beginning of the Premier League season has been pretty disappointing for Liverpool, but they’re finally back in the game! Mohamed Salah led the Reds to an epic win against Manchester City on Sunday, breaking their unbeaten run along the way. After struggling to find the top form for most of the season, Liverpool finally returned to their prime condition against Man City. They spent most of the match trying to stand their ground to their opponents and don’t let them score before Mohamed Salah led them to a well-deserved 1-0 lead, 14 minutes before the finish. The hot hot-tempered encounter between the two teams didn’t go without hiccups. It was a miracle to see Liverpool prevail after Jurgen Klopp was sent off for shouting in a lineman’s face after failing to penalize Bernardo Silva for a foul on Salah. “I lost it in that moment and that is not OK, but I think a little bit as an excuse I would like to mention, how can you not whistle that foul? How on earth is it possible? And I wish I could get an explanation,” said Klopp after the match. Despite their victory on Sunday, Liverpool is yet to break into the top five and they currently sit in the eighth spot with 13 points. Man City is still second in Premier League rankings behind Arsenal.
