Manchester United Scores FA Cup Win Against Aston Villa

Manchester United managed to reach the fourth round of the FA Cup after beating Aston Villa 1-0 on Monday night. They scored this victory thanks to Scott McTominay's early goal, after Villa missed several chances throughout the match to even out the score. United owes its latest win to Scott McTominay's eighth-minute opener, and the team’s interim manager Ralf Rangnick had high praise for the young player after the match. "He is an academy boy, his energy is amazing. He now also starts scoring goals and also with some leadership skills. I wouldn't be surprised if in a couple of years he would be the captain of this team," said Rangnick. United was off to a good start thanks to McTominay's goal, but this wasn’t an easy game to win. Villa had two balls in United’s net in the second half, but they were both ruled out as offside. The biggest shocker of the match came after it seemed that Danny Ings scored an equalizer for Villa, but his celebration was short-lived. His goal was ruled out after a nail-biting VAR check. Fans on both sides were visibly irritated because it took over three minutes for referee Michael Oliver to have his strike disallowed.
