Manchester City Signing Jack Grealish from Aston Villa for £100 Million

Jack Grealish spent the entirety of his professional career with Aston Villa, but he’s getting ready to say goodbye to his boyhood team. He’s parting ways with Aston Villa after striking a deal with Manchester City, reportedly worth £100 million. Grealish is set to become the most expensive British player of all time after agreeing to a five-year contract worth £100 million. The record was previously held by Gareth Bale, who transferred from Tottenham Hotspur to Real Madrid in 2013 for £85 million. Grealish was only six when he joined Aston Villa and stayed with the club for almost two decades. Following a youth loan at Notts County, he made his professional debut for Aston Villa in 2014, and proved himself as an effective winger and attacking midfielder. Grealish will be officially confirmed as the Manchester City player after undergoing medical examinations. The rumors of his potential departure from Aston Villa have been swirling around for quite some time, especially after the team struck deals with several players who could take his spot. Midfielder Emiliano Buendia from Norwich City and Ashley Young from Inter Milan are set to join the Villa, together with the winger Leon Bailey who signed a deal worth £25 million.
