Man City Extends Its Premier League Lead After Defeating Arsenal

Arsenal is one of the strongest teams in the Premier League right now, but even they couldn’t stand their ground to Manchester City. Their latest face-off was a huge triumph for Man City, as they extended their Premier League lead to 11 points after winning 2-1. Manchester City made an amazing comeback in their latest match with Arsenal, but their chances weren’t looking so good in the first half. Bukayo Saka’s opener gave the Gunners a well-deserved lead, but Man City managed to turn things around in the second half. Riyad Mahrez’s penalty shot leveled the score, and Rodri eventually led his team to another win with the 93rd-minute goal. This marks Man City’s 11th successive league win, and they currently sit at the top of the Premier League rankings, 11 points ahead of Chelsea. The Gunners fans had a tough time witnessing this defeat because Arsenal’s performance this season was pretty impressive. Even Man City’s manager Pep Guardiola admitted Arsenal was “better” this time around, but they had a strategy to defeat them. “It was so tough for us to come back after Brentford and we had no energy. This is why we put one more player in the middle to get more control and passes. We know in transitions and physicality they have it can be difficult,” explained Guardiola.
