Man City Cruise Past Man United to an Easy Manchester Derby Win

There’s always a lot of excitement surrounding the Manchester Derby, but the latest edition of this epic showdown didn’t really live up to the hype. Manchester City easily defeated their bitter rival Manchester United in their latest face-off, scoring a well-deserved 2-0 victory. United’s latest loss wasn’t as humiliating as their 5-0 defeat to Liverpool, but it was still a tough one to watch. They were down on their luck since the very start, after United’s Eric Bailly scored a goal into his own net seven minutes into the game. Bernardo Silva sealed the deal and gave Man City a 2-0 lead seconds before the first half was over. Man City boss Pep Guardiola gave “massive compliments to the players” after the game and called them “the real artists for the way [they] played”, but also took a moment to praise their opponents. "To come here at Old Trafford, our rivals of the city, our neighbors and play the way we played was really good... If you don't finish the attack you will be attacked much, much quicker and that is where they are so good,” Guardiola told BBC Sport. The Red Devils fans wouldn’t be so kind, and many are calling for the resignation of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after a series of disappointing losses. Solskjaer insists he’s here to stay and that he has “good communication all the time with the club”.
