Lionel Messi Scores Two Goals On His First Start For Inter Miami

Lionel Messi made a shocking decision to leave Paris Saint-Germain for Inter Miami, and he’s getting pretty comfortable in Florida. The Argentina football legend made his first start for his new team against Atlanta United and scored two goals to lead his side to an easy 4-0 win. Messi was on top of his game in the first half, and it only took him 22 minutes to score two goals for his side. He also set up his team-mate Robert Taylor for another epic goal in the second half, and the Finish player sang him praises after the match. "Most of the time he'll find one of his team-mates. He brings so much quality to the team, so much. I mean, he's the best player in the world. This is what he does - he scores two goals, he scored last game, gets another assist. It's a dream come true to play with him," said Taylor. The audience was ecstatic to see Messi on the pitch again, including Inter Miami owner David Beckham, who was present during the game. Messi was substituted in the 78th minute to a standing ovation, after helping Inter Miami move into the knockout stages of the Leagues Cup. Messi signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Inter Miami earlier this month and said he’s “very excited to start this next step in [his] career with Inter Miami and in the United States.”
