FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League: Poland Beats Defending Champions Brazil

Brazil came into this year’s FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League as a defending champion, but they’ll have to do everything in their power to take the trophy back home. Poland is one of their biggest competitors, and they managed to beat Brazil in their latest face-off. Brazil and Poland came head-to-head in Sofia, Bulgaria on Wednesday, and the Polish team scored a 3-1 victory this time around, winning 25-16 22-25 25-16 25-22 in four sets. This marks their first win against Brazil at the tournament, as they previously failed to beat them on June 2. Brazil’s head coach Renan Dal Zotto knew this will be a tough match to win, and had nothing but words of praise for the Polish team. “Poland are a very strong and competitive team, regardless of the formation on the court. They are one of the contenders for the title in any competition. It will be a very balanced match, decided in the details,” said Dal Zotto. Brazil came into the tournament as the defending champion, but they couldn’t stand their ground against the last year’s runner-up on Wednesday. Poland is set to face Canada in their next match, while Brazil will have a chance to make a comeback against Serbia.
