Denmark and Norway Facing in 2022 European Women's Handball Championship Final

This year’s European Women's Handball Championship is slowly nearing its final stage, and we finally know which two teams will meet in the final. Norway will have a chance to defend their title against Denmark on Sunday night. Norway easily reached the finale following their semi-final match against France on Friday. They scored a confident 28–20 victory, largely thanks to Nora Mork, who ended up scoring eight goals for the Norwegians at the Arena Stozice in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Friday night was even more exciting for Denmark after they defeated Montenegro 27-23 to reach their first final at this tournament in almost two decades. After opening the match with a five-goal advantage, they continued dominating and Emma Friis was crowned as the top player of the match after scoring seven goals. Montenegro and France will fight for the third place on Sunday night, and their match will be followed by the face-off between the two finalists. Norway is coming into the match as a clear favorite for the title, because they have eight wins at this tournament so far, more than all the other nations combined. The 2022 European Women's Handball Championship was held from November 4-20, and the top three teams will make it to the 2023 World Championship, while the winter will qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympics.
