Cristiano Ronaldo Returns to Manchester United After 12 Years

The rumors of Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit from Juventus have been flying around like crazy in the past few days, and his fans couldn’t wait to see the end of this transfer drama. After days of wild speculations, it’s finally been confirmed that Ronaldo will return to Manchester United. The Red Devils reportedly signed Ronaldo for a two-year contract, worth €25 million, and announced his return in an official statement that starts off with: “Manchester United is delighted to confirm that the club has reached agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo, subject to agreement of personal terms, visa and medical.” In the official announcement confirming Ronaldo's return, the United looked back at his great track record and noted that Ronaldo is a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, with over 30 major trophies under his belt, including five UEFA Champions League titles and four FIFA Club World Cups. Ronaldo spent the past three years with Juventus, and his transfer became imminent after the club’s manager Massimiliano Allegri told the media that he has "no intention" of remaining a Juventus player earlier this month. This won’t be Ronaldo’s first go with the Red Devils, since he was a part of Manchester United between 2003 and 2009. He scored 118 goals in 292 games with the Red Devils before leaving the team for Real Madrid.
