Boston Celtics Beat Dallas Mavericks To Score Record 18th NBA Title

The Boston Celtics are no strangers to winning the NBA Finals, and their latest victory was one for the history books. They defeated the Dallas Mavericks to lift their first NBA trophy in 16 years, bringing their total of NBA titles to 18, breaking the record previously held by the Los Angeles Lakers. The Boston Celtics were on top of their game throughout the NBA Finals and finally secured their trophy in Game 5. They defeated the Mavericks 106-88, only dropping one game in the best-of-seven championship series. This marks the first time the Celtics have won the NBA Finals since 2008 and their 18th overall. Their latest victory is a historic one, helping them break the deadlock with the Lakers for the most NBA titles in history. Jaylen Brown was awarded the NBA Finals MVP trophy despite many favoring his teammate Jayson Tatum. There doesn’t seem to be any bad blood between them, as Brown stated he shares this trophy with his “brother and partner in crime” Jayson Tatum. “We've been playing together for seven years now. We've been through a lot. The losses, the expectations, the media… I trust him, he trusts me, and we did it together. So, to get to this point and share that experience with JT is just awesome,” said Brown.
