Arsenal’s Premier League Future is Looking Bleak After Loss Against Chelsea

Arsenal made history during their latest Premier League match against Chelsea – but not in a good way. The Gunners opened their league campaign with two defeats and zero goals, marking this the first time in the club’s history they scored such bad results. Arsenal’s latest defeat came in the match against Chelsea, when they were defeated 2-0. This marks their second major loss since the beginning of Premier League, shortly after they lost to Brentford in the season opener. Arsenal’s manager Mikel Arteta acknowledged they’re facing a huge challenge right now, with nine major players missing, but they’re trying to do the best they can with what they have. "I don't think the club in their history have faced something like this. We have to face the challenge. The league or table is not decided in August. The worst thing you can do is throw in the towel. We certainly are not going to do that," Arteta told BBC. Unlike Arsenal, Chelsea had a lot of reason to celebrate on Sunday night – especially Romelu Lukaku, who scored one of the goals that led the Blues to victory. He returned to Chelsea a decade after he had originally joined the club as a teen, for a reported record-breaking fee of £97.5 million.
