All hell broke loose when Tom Brady announced his retirement six weeks ago, but it didn’t take him long to backtrack on his decision. The NFL icon announced he’s ready to come back for his 23rd season and that he’ll be rejoining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The record-breaking quarterback announced he was stepping away from playing football last month, but he had a change of heart and decided to join Bucs for another season. “These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business LFG,” wrote Brady on social media. The Bucs’ head coach Bruce Arian said they’re ecstatic that Brady decided to continue playing and working toward winning another championship. The team’s general manager Jason Licht echoed his words, stating they’re thrilled to see him come back for another season. Brady initially announced his retirement back in February, after weeks of speculations following the Bucs’ divisional-round playoff loss. His decision to call off his retirement will give him a chance to score another Super Bowl win, but he already has a record seven titles under his belt, in addition to five Super Bowls MVPs.
