Many golf stars are signing lucrative deals with LIV Golf these days, but one of the biggest golf legends of all time reportedly said no to the Saudi-backed series. Tiger Woods turned down a major LIV Golf deal, worth in the range of $700 to $800 million. The LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman discussed Woods’ deal with Fox News's Tucker Carlson and explained what went down between the 15-time major champion and Saudi-backed golf organization. "Look, Tiger is a needle mover, right? So, of course, you've got to look at the best of the best. They had originally approached Tiger before I became CEO. That number is somewhere in that neighborhood," said Norman. The sum that Woods refused was pretty mind-blowing, but hearing that he doesn’t want to join LIV Golf doesn’t come as a shocker. The golf legend spoke against it during a recent appearance at the 150th Open Championship and criticized players leaving the PGA tour to join the LIV Golf series. "I think that what they've done is they've turned their back on what has allowed them to get to this position… I just don't see how that move is positive in the long term for a lot of these players,” said Woods. 2022 LIV Golf Invitational Series is taking place until October 30 and features eight tournaments with prize money of $255 million.
