T. J. Hockenson was traded to the Minnesota Vikings last fall, and it seems he feels right at home in Minneapolis. The football tight end agreed to a four-year contract extension with his current team, reportedly worth $68.5 million. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Hockenson’s new deal will have him earning $68.5 million over the course of four years, and it comes with $42.5 million guaranteed. It carries an average annual value of $17.125 million, which would make Hockenson the highest-paid tight end in NFL history, according to Schefter. Hockenson confirmed he signed a contract extension after Thursday's practice, and said he’s super excited to stay a part of the Minnesota Vikings because they’re an incredible team. "It's truly a good fit for me here… I've expressed that to you guys and the fans since day one, that this is the place I want to be long-term. And to have that done and to be able to move forward with that and really have dreams come into a reality is incredible,” he told reporters. T. J. Hockenson joined the Vikings in November last year, after three seasons with the Detroit Lions. He appeared in 10 games with the Vikings last year and hauled in 60 catches for 519 yards and three touchdowns.
