Super Bowl Heading Back to Los Angeles in 2027

Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium hosted the Los Angeles Rams' triumph over the Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl LVI, and the Big Game will soon return to this iconic venue. Los Angeles has been announced as the host of the 2027 Super Bowl, the latest sports event to be set in this city between the 2026 World Cup and the 2028 Summer Olympics. The NFL commissioner Roger Goodell confirmed that Los Angeles will serve as the host city in 2027, and they have high expectations for the upcoming edition of the Big Game. "We are very excited to bring the Super Bowl back to Los Angeles for the second time in five years. The city did an outstanding job hosting Super Bowl 56 in the incredible SoFi Stadium and we believe that Super Bowl 61 will be even more memorable," said Goodell in a statement. Inglewood mayor James T. Butts predicted something like this could happen when Los Angeles hosted Super Bowl LVI in 2022. He said that SoFi Stadium set a new standard for what a top-tier venue should be after hosting some of the world’s most hyped sports championships, concerts, and other performances. Super Bowl will head to several other venues before returning to LA in 2027. The upcoming Super Bowl LVIII will be hosted by Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada on February 11, 2024. The Big Game will then head to Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California for the next two editions.
