Stephen Curry’s Record-Breaking Three-Pointer Streak Ends After 268 Games

Stephen Curry’s three-pointer streak was a joy to watch, but all good things must come to an end. The Golden State Warriors star celebrated a narrow victory against the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday, but this game also marked the end of his record-breaking three-pointer streak. Curry recently crossed the 3,500 three-pointer mark in Golden State’s win against the Brooklyn Nets, when he scored six three-pointers, but luck wasn't on his side against the Blazers. He missed all of his eight attempts to score from a long distance and finished the game with a disappointing seven points. This match put an end to his record streak of 268 games with at least one three-pointer. His streak kicked off all the way back on December 1, 2018, and no NBA player ever came close to breaking it. The Warriors’ fans are pretty disappointed to see Curry’s record come to an end, but the coach Steve Kerr didn’t give it too much thought. He said they shouldn't rely on him every single time because every player has a bad night from time to time. “It was a tough night for him, but that’s what a team is supposed to be about. Everybody filling in for each other, different guys stepping up each night. That’s a great sign because he’s carried us for long enough this year. We need to give him more help,” said Kerr.
