Stephen Curry Scores 40+ Points for 5th Time This Season Against Grizzlies

Stephen Curry has been on fire since the beginning of the season and he’s showing no signs of stopping. He led the Golden State Warriors to another epic victory against the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday night and ended up scoring over 40 points for the fifth time this season. Curry reached this milestone shortly after becoming the NBA's all-time 3-point leader, and he added even more 3-pointers to his record during this game. He scored a total of 46 points, made eight 3-pointers, and crossed the 40-point mark for the fifth time this season. Curry had great support in Gary Payton Jr. who finished the game with 22 points. Ja Morant, De’Anthony Melton, and Jaren Jackson Jr. did their best to push the Grizzlies to victory, but the Warriors eventually won 113-104. Despite Curry’s dominant performance, this wasn’t an easy win for the Warriors. The team’s head coach Steve Kerr acknowledged the Grizzlies’ great defensive strategy and praised Curry for managing to stand his ground against them. “For me, that’s as good as it get against a very physical defense with great size. Over the past 10 or 12 games, Memphis has had the best defensive rating in the league… For Steph to go out and get 46 ... he showed every bit of his talent,” said Kerr.
