Stephen Curry Passes Ray Allen’s Record to Become NBA's 3-Point Leader

Stephen Curry led the Golden State Warriors to many impressive wins this season, and his latest game was the most historic one yet. He set a new record for career 3-pointers as the Warriors defeated the New York Knicks 105-96 on Tuesday. Curry scored his 2,974th 3-pointer in the first quarter of the game, breaking the record previously held by Ray Allen for the past ten years. He celebrated this achievement by hugging his parents and teammates, as the crowd at the Madison Square Garden roared in awe. This wasn’t even the only 3-pointer he scooped against the Knicks, and his record currently stands at 2,977. This milestone will be tough to break because he’s still in his prime and none of the active players is even close to reaching this number. Curry has been on a quest to set this record for quite some time but admitted this is not his only priority after a recent win over the Indiana Pacers. "I'm enjoying the moment and now you're knocking on the doorstep, it's pretty surreal… It's one thing I've learned these last three games, is keep playing basketball, keep taking shots you think you'll make and enjoy the experience of it because it's a long time coming," explained Curry.
