This year’s Saudi Arabian Grand Prix turned into a huge clash between Red Bull teammates Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen. It was finally Perez’s moment to shine, and he managed to hold off the defending champion Verstappen to lift the trophy in Jeddah. Despite starting the race in the 15th spot, Verstappen managed to fight back, but there was one person he couldn’t outrace. Perez started from the pole position and kept a steady lead, eventually winning the race. Red Bull boss Christian Horner hailed the Mexican's success and described the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix as his best race so far. “We've got a great car and two great drivers. We talked in the briefing [before the race] saying, 'You're free to race, but you keep it clean'. They're both competitive. We saw two drivers pushing each other,” said Horner. We’re only two races into the season, but this World Championship is turning out to be pretty interesting, with the rivalry between two Red Bull teammates reaching new heights. Verstappen even said he was “not happy” to take the second spot after the race and was noticeably frustrated to finish behind Perez. Even after Perez held him off in Saudi Arabia, Verstappen remains the first in the World Championship rankings, with the veteran Fernando Alonso behind them in the third spot.
