Seamus Power Enters Ryder Cup Conversation Following Bermuda Championship Win

Seamus Power has been dreaming about playing at the Ryder Cup for quite some time, and his name is finally part of the conversation. The Irish golfer scored a second PGA Tour title at the Bermuda Championship this past weekend. Power shared the lead with the rookie Ben Griffin going into the final day, but he managed to score a one-shot victory on Sunday. Power's birdie on 14 moved him one ahead of the competition, and he eventually finished one shot ahead of Belgium’s Thomas Detry. This marks the second PGA Tour victory for the 35-year-old Irish golfer. He previously won the 2021 Barbasol Championship, but his second major win hits differently. "It's a completely different feeling (to his first tournament win) but it's just as special. It's so hard. I play a lot of tournaments and this is only my second. It's amazing it's special. It's going to take a while to sink in, but absolutely over the moon,” said Power following his victory. Power’s win at the Bermuda Championship came as quite a shocker since he entered the tournament in the 48th position in the Official World Golf Rankings. In addition to netting him 500 FedEx Cup points, this victory also puts his name on the watchlist for the Ryder Cup in Rome next September.
