Raiders Win Their First Game Without Jon Gruden Against Broncos

The Las Vegas Raiders recently played their first game in years without Jon Gruden as their head coach, but his absence didn’t hurt their chances. They secured an easy win against the Denver Broncos, with an impressive 34-24 score. The Raiders were on fire since the very beginning of the game, and they never looked back after acquiring a 17-7 halftime lead. Derek Carr was the game’s most valuable player, and he completed 18 of 27 passes for 341 yards and two touchdowns, leading his team to a much-deserved victory. This was a fateful encounter for the Raiders since it’s the first game they played after the former head coach Jon Gruden resigned from his position over his controversial emails. His departure was a huge blow for the team, but Carr claims they managed to find a silver lining in the whole ordeal and became stronger as a team. “It for sure brought us closer. If anything, it heightened our intensity, it heightened our focus… We needed a win bad this week. Sometimes when you get punched in the gut, it’s hard to bounce back. But we were able to do it,” said Raiders quarterback after defeating the Broncos. The Raiders’ longtime special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia is currently serving as interim head coach, and we’ll see if he’ll be able to lead them to another win when they face the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
