PGA Tour & LIV Golf End Their Feud and Merge Into One Organization

The feud between PGA Tour And Saudi-Backed LIV Golf divided the entire golf world into two fractions, but it finally reached its conclusion. In a stunning turn of events that no one saw coming LIV Golf merged with the PGA Tour and DP World. After a year of animosity and legal warfare, two organizations made a shocking move and merged into one entity. They released a joint statement, describing this unexpected development as “a landmark agreement to unify the game of golf, on a global basis.” Jay Monahan, the commissioner of the PGA Tour, described their merger as a historic day for the game, adding it will engender a new era in global golf. "This transformational partnership recognizes the immeasurable strength of the PGA Tour's history, legacy, and pro-competitive model and combines with it the DP World Tour and LIV - including the team golf concept - to create an organization that will benefit players, partners, and fans," said Monahan. The PGA Tour and LIV Golf have been at each other’s throats ever since the inaugural season of the Saudi-backed league kicked off last year. Numerous high-profile players came under fire for making a switch from PGA to LIV, while several others publicly spoke against the Saudi-backed league and refused hefty sums to transfer, including Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy.
