In addition to extending his Australian Open record, Djokovic also joined Rafael Nadal as the only second player in the Open Era to win 22 men's singles Grand Slam titles. He also reclaimed the no. 1 ranking from Carlos Alcaraz, who withdraw from the tournament with a hamstring injury.
