Max Verstappen has given us many amazing races since the start of the season, and he’s showing no signs of stopping! He kicked off the Belgian Grand Prix in 14th place, but that didn’t stop him from coming out victorious and edging closer to his second consecutive World Championship. Verstappen came into the race as one of the clear favorites, but the situation changed during qualifications, where Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz Jr. took pole position. The Dutch started the race from 14th place on the grid but overtook one driver after another, taking the top spot after the rest of his competitors disappeared in the distance. "We had difficulties starting 14th which wasn't easy, it was very hectic in front of me but once everything calmed down literally overtaking one car every lap and when I saw the softs were holding on I knew there was a good possibility we could win the race," said Verstappen post-race. This marks his ninth win in 14 races this season, and the victory at the Belgian Grand Prix Win cements his status as a favorite to win another World Championship title. He ranks first with 284 points, followed by his Red Bull teammate Sergio Pérez with 191 and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc with 186.
