Lakers Make a Major Comeback to Score Overtime Win Against Miami Heat

The Los Angeles Lakers were on the verge of losing their latest game against the Miami Heat, but they managed to make an epic comeback. As the game entered overtime, they rallied from a big deficit and scored a 120-117 win in the final minutes. In the absence of several injured players, the Lakers had to heavily rely on Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, and Carmelo Anthony – and they delivered. So did Malik Monk, who got used to playing under pressure during his time with the Charlotte Hornets. “I had this role a couple of times last year in Charlotte, the year before that when a lot of guys get hurt and I had to come in and play big minutes and facilitate and do other things that I normally don’t do. But I work on my game a lot, so I was really prepared for this moment,” Monk told reporters after the game. With his season-high 27 points, Monk was one of the players responsible for the Lakers’ latest win, which marks their second straight overtime victory. He was closely followed by Westbrook, with 25 points, 14 assists, and 12 rebounds, while Davis came in third with a total of 24 points and 13 rebounds.
