Knicks Score Wild 2OT Win in Season Opener Against Celtics

After months of anticipation, the NBA season is finally in full steam and each new game is wilder than the last. That was certainly the case with the latest face-off between the New York Knicks and the Boston Celtics, which led to a crazy double-overtime win for the Knicks. The winner was difficult to call until the very last moment, but the Knicks eventually emerged victorious 138-134 after two frantic overtimes. Julius Randle helped them be crowned as winners by scoring 35 points, but the title of the top scorer eventually went to Jaylen Brown who finished with career-high 46 points for the Celtics. The Knicks probably wouldn’t be able to stop Brown in his track if it wasn’t for Randle’s amazing performance. The team’s coach Tom Thibodeau praised him after the game and said he’s "hungrier than ever" after signing a four-year extension with the Knicks this summer. “We asked Julius to do a lot in that game. That’s what I love about him, how hard he works each and every day, and what he gives you in a game. He gives you everything he has,” said Thibodeau. As NBA season heats up, the Knicks will have to defeat several worthy opponents on their quest for the title, starting with the Orlando Magic on Friday night.
