Kings Beat Clippers in Second-Highest-Scoring Game in NBA History

Friday night’s face-off between the Sacramento Kings and the Los Angeles Clippers was one wild rollercoaster, and it was quite historic for both sides. The Kings managed to score a 176-175 double overtime win in what turned out to be the second-highest-scoring game in NBA history. The Kings and the Clippers gave us one of the wildest NBA games in recent memory, and the winner was tough to call until the very last minute. The Clippers had a 175-169 advantage with 1:57 remaining and it seemed like they’ll come out victorious, but the Kings managed to make an epic comeback and scored the final seven points, winning just one point ahead of Los Angeles. It was a big night for Malik Monk, who scored a career-high 45 points to help the Kings score their latest win. De’Aaron Fox was also on top of his game, and his jumper with 36.5 seconds remaining was one of the game’s most talked-about highlights. This is currently the second-highest-scoring game in NBA history, and the all-time record hasn’t been broken for almost four decades. It was set by the Detroit Pistons and Denver Nuggets on December 13, 1983, when Detroit beat Denver 186-184 in triple overtime.
