The fight was tough to call until the very last moment, but the judges eventually ruled in Taylor’s favor. She ended up winning via split decision, after two judges scored it 97-93 and 96-93 for her, while a third had it 96-94 for Serrano. The Irish boxing champion described her latest fight as the best night of her career and praised Serrano for bringing out the best in her. "She's a phenomenal fighter. A great, great person. It was a privilege to fight her again. I knew I was going to have to dig deep and go to the trenches. I have the heart as well as the skill. I knew I was going to be able to pull through,” said Taylor.
