Jordan Kyrou established himself as one of the St. Louis Blues’ key players since making his debut in 2018, and he’s planning to stay in St. Louis for a long, long time. The young hockey player signed a lucrative eight-year extension with the Blues, reportedly worth $65 million. This extension is a major improvement over Kyrou’s old deal, which had him earning $2.8 million. The new contract moves his annual salary to an average of $8.125 per year, and he’s worth every penny after scoring 75 points in 74 games during his last season with the Blues. Kyrou released an official statement thanking the Blues for putting their trust in him, and also gave a shout-out to his fans for always showing him love and support. "I'm so thankful to the Blues organization for putting their trust in me and giving me the opportunity to wear the Blue Note for the foreseeable future Being able to call St. Louis my home is amazing. I can't say enough about how much I love the city,” said the 24-year-old right winger. Kyrou was drafted by the Blues in 2016, as the second-round, 35th overall pick. He made his NHL during the 2018-19 season, and his new contract will make him the Blues’ highest-paid player in 2023-24, along with Robert Thomas.
