Giannis Scores 47 Points to Help Milwaukee Bucks Defeat Lakers

Giannis Antetokounmpo propelled the Milwaukee Bucks to several epic wins this season, and their latest was one to remember. They defeated the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night, largely aided by 47 points that Giannis scored along the way. Despite the Lakers’ best efforts to stop the Bucks in their track, the Bucks ended up scoring a 109-102 win. Giannis’s amazing performance was one of the reasons why they managed to come out victorious, and the Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer praised him after the game. "He was in attack mode. He really, competitively and from a mindset, really wanted to be his best. When he's in attack mode that's usually when he's at his best. I thought he made some great passes too. Giannis was special tonight," said Budenholzer. The Bucks’ latest face-off with the Lakers marked just the third game this season where their three top players were available. In addition to Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday also helped the Bucks score this win. It was a big night for Middleton, who tied Milwaukee’s franchise record for career 3-pointers after missing eight games due to COVID-19. The win against the Lakers marks a comeback for the Bucks since they lost their two previous games. We’ll see if they’ll continue their winning streak in their next game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
