Boston Celtics Suffer First Loss of the Season to Minnesota Timberwolves

The Boston Celtics were off to a perfect start this season, but all good things must come to an end. They suffered their first loss this season to the Minnesota Timberwolves, who scored their latest victory thanks to Anthony Edwards, who netted 38 points for his side. The latest face-off between the Celtics and T-Wolves was unpredictable until the very last moment, and it resulted in a 114-109 victory for Minnesota. Anthony Edwards scored 38 points on Monday night, and his eight points in overtime were the deciding factor in T-Wolves’ victory. Edwards also had nine rebounds and seven assists and managed to get 15 of 25 from the field. Jaden McDaniels added 20 points for the Timberwolves, followed by Rudy Gobert and Naz Reid with 14 points each. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown were on top of their game, adding 32 and 26 points respectively for the Celtics, but it wasn’t enough to lead their team to victory. Boston coach Joe Mazzula described their latest loss as a good learning lesson and praised the T-Wolves for putting up a good fight. “Very competitive and opponents are always going to bring the best out of us. I thought we competed at a high level. I thought their defensive toughness outmatched our offensive toughness at times. Their overall pressure bothered us on the offensive end,” said Mazzula post-game.
