Retirement rumors have been following Aaron Rodgers for a few years now, and it seems he already has an exit strategy in place. The Green Bay Packers quarterback recently revealed he wouldn’t want to keep playing football after 45. Rodgers recently addressed ongoing retirement rumors and said that he doesn’t see himself playing well into his forties. The 38-year-old NFL player added he has a lot of interests outside of the game and that the time will come for him to do something else, hopefully before turning 45. Rodgers's comments seem to be hinting at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback, who turned 45 last month. He described him as an amazing player and praised his longevity and ability to keep playing on a high level for such a long time. “The consistency where you’re still playing at a high level and there’s not the drop-off. Every great player fears turning into a real below-average player on the way out. I don’t think anybody wants to really hang on,” he said. Aaron Rodgers is in his 18th season with the Packers, and he hasn’t changed teams since joining them in 2005. He signed a new three-year contract extension with the Green Bay back in March, worth a whooping $150.815 million.
