Aaron Rodgers Still Considering Retirement After This Season

Aaron Rodgers is one of the leading contenders for the MVP title this season, but it seems he wants to get out while he’s still on top. The Green Bay Packers quarterback recently discussed his future prospects and said he “wouldn’t rule out” the possibility of retiring after this season. The 38-year-old has been with the Packers since 2005, and here’s what he had to say when asked if he’s still thinking of retiring after 2021: "I wouldn't rule that out. I think that I'm just enjoying this season for this season. I think that playing next year will definitely be in the thought process. One of the things, wanting to not be a bum on the way out and still be able to play, I think, is important to me." The Packers quarterback said that he still loves the game, but he intends to have conversations with the team’s management, coaching staff, and his loved ones after the season and make his final decision based on them. We’re taking Rodgers’ words with a grain of salt since he’s on top of his game right now. He's currently considered the top contender for MVP this season, along with the Colts’ running back Jonathan Taylor and the Buccaneers’ quarterback Tom Brady. If he wins, it will be his second MVP title in a row and fourth overall.
