Trevor Lawrence Signs $275 Million Extension with Jacksonville Jaguars

Trevor Lawrence kicked off his NFL career with the Jacksonville Jaguars, and his future with this team is looking bright. The 24-year-old quarterback will stick around in Jacksonville for the next five years after signing a $275 million extension with the Jaguars. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Lawrence’s five-year extension includes $200 million guaranteed, with a $55-million average annual value. This figure is quite impressive, tying him with Cincinnati Bengals' quarterback Joe Burrow for the highest in NFL history. Lawrence joined the Jaguars after being selected first overall in the 2021 NFL Draft and had his breakout season the following year, when he led the team to their first division title and playoff win since 2017 and went on to receive Pro Bowl honors. Even before signing his new contract, Lawrence made it clear he wanted to stay in Jacksonville and continue winning with the Jaguars. “I'd love to, obviously, be a Jag for as long as possible. We love it here, and I love where we're headed as an organization and feel like I'm just getting better every year. My best ball is definitely ahead of me. So, from that standpoint, obviously, yeah, that would be great,” he told reporters back in April.
